Directors and shareholders have become increasingly aware of the importance of Corporate Governance in guiding the management affairs of organisations. In this regard, greater attention is now being given to enhancing the governance structures of these entities.
The Eastern Caribbean Central Bank (ECCB) and Eastern Caribbean Securities Exchange Limited (ECSE) are committed to promoting corporate governance initiatives that are geared towards improved governance of public and private sector organisations.
Accordingly, the ECCB and ECSE, in collaboration with the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Commonwealth Association for Corporate Governance, will host two 2-day Corporate Governance Directors Training Programmes and two 1-day Chairpersons Seminars in
St Kitts and St Lucia over the period 8-10 June 2005 and 13-15 June 2005, respectively.
These Programmes are geared towards Board enhancement by introducing participants to international corporate governance standards and best practices and the need for ethical and transparent policies.
